MOTAT

(Just realised I never posted this, I think I was waiting til I was on the computer so I can add photos, but I'll just post it now and try add photos later)

During November MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology) had free entry for all North Auckland residents.  I only found out about it on Sun 27th so we didn't have another weekend left before the offer ended, so we decided Lani could have a day off school for it and I took the kids on Monday.  It was really really good and the kids loved it.  There was loads for them to do and have a go on and we actually didn't get round everything, even after spending 5 hours there!

They had a visiting exhibition called Playing With Light that was loads of fun.  At the entrance was an archway of panels of LEDs that were motion activated so lit up and played noises as you walked through the tunnel of panels.  We spent quite a while there with the kids running in and out :) They also had a room full of lasers you had to try and get trough without touching the lasers (like in the movies with a burgled trying to steal the crown jewels or something).

We also went on the tram up to the bit with the planes, although it wasn't so good for the kids up there, just planes to look at, but they enjoyed the tram ride :)
